Feedback about the new new Staking Stats page

When we deployed the new Staking Stats page last week, we knew that the page would mean a lot to users. They can now understand what’s in the Avalanche network better, but we need to say that there’s a long road ahead: staking is just one aspect of all the data points that can be extracted from Avalanche. For now, we only index data from X-Chain and a bit of data from P-Chain, but we don’t extract any kind of data from C-Chain, nor we extract more granular or aggregated data from all the chains combined.

At Avascan, we don’t work on major releases, but follow the CI / CD process: we have something new almost every other week, and we need the users’ feedback to understand how to improve quickly and help users and developers take the best out of Avalanche. Join our community and help us help you: on Twitter, Telegram and Discord.

This week in Avalanche

  • AvalancheGo v1.0.5 released - includes performance improvements and some quality of life improvements. N.B. the next release v1.0.6 will contain breaking changes, validators will be required to upgrade their nodes;
  • Avalanche Forum: a place for technical discussions related to Avalanche and its community was launched. It’s already quite active with discussions starting around new clients, cross chain bridges and more;
  • Bridged versions of ETH and BTC will soon™ be arriving on the X-Chain

What’s new on Avascan

  • For once, we don’t have major nor minor improvements to show, because we have very big pieces of code to release next week, stay tuned!

Known issues

  • We are aware of an issue that can cause temporary downtime in the whole website and, specifically, in some Asset Details pages. We are working on a solution that’s part of a major architectural overhaul of the website, that will likely be deployed sometime in November.

Explore the Road

  • We haven’t had any significant release this week, but we worked hard on finalizing the design of all the pages that include data about C-Chain: from the Address Details pages, to the new ERC20 Tokens list page and the Token Details page. There’s a whole slew of new data that users can extract from this new pages, and this is also just the first iteration of this major redesign. We want to hear your feedback: head to our Changemap page to request new features or report bugs, and start a conversation in the #feedback channel in our Discord server or in the Telegram community

See you next week, and thank you for reading!
